Isotope Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry:

  • Understanding the formation and evolution of planetary bodies within the inner Solar System through chemical and isotopic studies.
  • High resolution chronometry based on short- (26Al-26Mg) and long-lived (U-Pb, 147Sm-143Nd, and 176Lu-176Hf) radionuclides to study the dynamics of the solar nebula, and the accretion, impact and differentiation processes and histories of asteroids and terrestrial planets.
  • Stable and radiogenic isotope and trace element studies to unravel the bulk composition, differentiation of major reservoirs, and impact histories of terrestrial planets.
  • Development of new geochemical approaches and cutting edge laboratory techniques.
